"Sunbeam" is Nicolas Nipp's first original choral composition. The song explores intense choral structures that invoke a feeling of longing and nostalgia. In addition to arranging this piece for SATB divisi, Nic also wrote the words himself. The lyrics of this piece talk about dealing with the loss of a loved one and how eventually, it is possible to move on. Through the dissonance and hardship, things shall resolve in the end. 
 
Nic has dedicated this piece to the memory of Meara Boughey and Jody Davis.
